Hi Denise, to keep the fringe from tangling, try placing the throw into a mesh laundry bag. These are sometimes sold as bags to launder items that need tender, gentle care. If you can't find one, a very large pillow case will work too.

pillow case will work best you can tie or safety pin it closed use gentle or delicate cycles and low spin or no spin let blanket hang dry no dryer I had a great Aunt that had a big wide tooth comb and would use it to separate fringe on her Persian rugs and blankets start at tips and work inward -- yep she had us comb them out when we were little kids

I would make sure that you wash it separately. This will prevent friction between fabrics from roughing up your blanket's surface. As for the fringes. Set the the water temperature set to cold and use the gentle cycle on your blanket to avoid too much agitation--a main cause of pilling, fiber breakage and other damage that will shorten your blanket's life.

If you sew you can stitch a piece of bias tape or ribbon over the fringe and remove it after laundering.

I've become a young mother some months ago and frankly speaking I'm a little worried about how to be perfect for my little girl. I am very attentive now and always try to choose things which will not be dangers for my baby girl. We’ve received a lot of presents at baby shower and I'm wondering now if they are of good quality and we can use them. I was dreaming of a cute pink baby blanket so my BF Amber has made a present of a knitted weighted blanket to me. I am afraid that it's not suitable for babies (Amber doesn't have any idea about kids), but on the official site I’ve read that it’s hypoallergenic, suitable for washing machines and very soft. My sweetie really admire her little blanket.
