How can I fix my desk?
I have a beautiful roll top oak desk, that mysteriously ended up with a white spot on it. None of my grandchildren know what happened, it was a ghost who does all kinds of things at Nana's house. I know I've read of people having the same problem but can't remember how they fixed it. Please help I don't want to have to refinish the whole thing.
Thanks,
Nana D.

Hi Betty! I recently had to deal with the same problem with a buffet I bought at the thrift store. I have a tutorial on how to remove water stains from furniture here: https://www.simplicityinthesouth.com/how-to-remove-water-stains-from-wood-furniture/
Place a cloth over the stain. An iron set tp medium heat and iron over the cloth. May take a few passes. A dab of white toothpaste on a damp cloth aqnd rub in a circular motion.
Sand lightly using a sanding sponge, wipe spray with blue winded dry then spray with a aerosol varnish on the spot. Then blow dry. Got this tip from a furniture restorer
