How do I clean wood floors and have them still stay shining?

Vinegar is acidic. I would use something pH neutral to rinse off the vinegar and dry it, with t-shirt rags stretched on my Swiffer frame. Try distilled water. Work in the direction of the grain.

I would read the ingredients on something like Mop and Glow and see what makes it shine.

Ana, The best of all is Murphy's Oil Soap. Amber color with a red cap. It's in your supermarket. Aloha!

A professional floor person told me to use a bit of Windex in water and never to use Murphy's Oil Soap. As he said, you are not cleaning the wood - you are cleaning the finish that is protecting the wood.

Bona products are what I use!
