Hello Lillie! Here's an article about turning an old iron bed into a bench. It's not really a chaise but it will give you a good idea of how to make one! I have made many benches from old wooden headboards and ONE bench from an old iron headboard. It is much harder to get the iron headboard attached to the wood frame of a headboard bench and have it be secure. What are you hoping to use as the base to the lounger? Solid pieces of foam that are adequately thick and dense to support sitting weight can be expensive.
Price out the materials and tools needed for the project first before you begin taking the iron bed apart. It may not be cost effective.
