Hi Carol! Rust-Oleum 2x spray paint can be used to paint plastic and it has a built-in primer. You’ll need to clean the surface from dust and fingerprints first with a degreaser like TSP (found in the paint aisle). Then scuff up the surface with 200 grit sandpaper. Clean the dust off. Then you can give your furniture a 2-3 light coats of spray paint. Give the paint a few days to cure before sitting on the furniture.
Give it a good scrub and repaint it with Krylon spray paint that is for plastic. I did this with Adirondack chairs and stencils and then sealed them. Lasts for a good while and if it doesn’t you can redo them.
Rustoleum 2X spray paint or Krylon Fusion spray paint.
If it's vinyl / plastic that is sun faded, you might try TIRE CLEANER. it works great on faded vinyl shutters.
Hi Carol,
We have had really great luck lately with this Mr Clean product. It attaches to your hose and works wonders. I also use a heavy duty brush to work on stubborn areas like cracks.
Good luck! Lauren - The Little Lake Cottage
