How do I distress furniture and metal buckets?
I want to paint a couple of pieces of furniture and some metal decor items and distress them. How do I make it happen? Thank you!!

Distressing is easy, you paint one color as primary color [the underneath color] one coat. Then paint the second coat your top coat. Use 300 grit or better sand paper and distress as you would like. If you want dents in the wood, hit with a hammer in spots. Have fun, but don't go too crazy with the distressing or it will look horrible.
There is a trick with vaseline. Paint with the first coat and then apply vaseline to where you want the distressing to show. Paint the piece with the next color and you can wipe the paint off where the vaseline was applied.

You can distress the paint with 220 grit sandpaper!
