What can you use for inside the toilet tank getting moldy?
I never put BLEACH IN The TOILET TANK, because of the corrosion factor on the parts inside, but there is black mold above the water line. The last time I cleaned it I used something I don't remember what in a bucket shut the water off and flushed to get the excess water out of the tank but here in Fl we always have mold in one place or another.. Wondering if there is any miracle cure for this. Its spring cleaning time and was just wondering what everybody else out there does? I never put those drop in tablets either just good ole comet and scrub... THANKS 3-22-19

Vinegar is your miracle cure. Vinegar kills mold spores, bleach does not.

Vinegar can be corrosive too, just don't let it sit in the tank overnight.

I saw where someone used vinegar. They poured in in the tank and let it sit for a while. Then turned the water off and flushed the bowl, took a brush with household cleaner and scrubbed the inside of the tank. Then turned the water back on.
Pour a bunch of vinegar in the tank, let it sit for a while. Use a brush to cover the exposed parts of the tank before you let it sit so that it is exposed to the vinegar, too. Do some scrubbing after it sits for a while to remove the mold and other bacteria in the tank. Make sure you flush the tank two or three times to run the vinegar through the bowl.
put 2 cups of vinegar in the tank before you go to bed and let it sit overnight then scrub inside tank easily so you don't mess up guts. you can also drop in 3-4 denture cleaning tablets
