If you’re talking about an ADA-compliant ramp, I believe the pitch is 1:12.
Since scooters are heavy, you’ll need to use at least 2x10’s and decking screws.
Sketch it out in graph paper to calculate your cuts.
If you don’t have the skills and tools to cut a 2x10 at a calculated angle, hire a pro helper.
Hi Karen, Here's a link to several video's. Maybe you can find one that will help: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=How+to+build+one+step+hanicap+ramp+for+scooter%3F
You should also find out if you need a permit to build one,
Good luck!
Slope is extremely important. Here's what I found. https://youtu.be/dtmD4qngwaU
Here is a simple one.... be sure to add the side lips to prevent rolling off the ramp.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWLPKOMlaRs&t=158s Most add a solid roll of shingle material for traction.
I realize you said build BUT... there are also lots of options online.. I bought some really small ones to accommodate my mothers wheel chair.. they work great! https://amzn.to/2HSoD0b
