Shelley, this is not a โduh, yeahโ answer that people are giving. Itโs an answer that takes in the resilience of Linoleum. As long as the floor covering has not rotted from moisture and bugs, you can clean, paint, stencil, flip, repaint and reinstall it. But while antique Linoleum has these strengths, it is still being manufactured in amazing patterns, colors and finishes today. At least research your options for lifelong flooring Best wishes!
You can, but it won't last more than a year. It is a stop gap at best as far as we ever found.
Look at floor pops on Amazon. I did it over cheap flooring n looks great. Very cool patterns, inexpensive and so much easier.
Iโve bern doing this for facades.
Clean prime paint stencil you last one got a little worn but I wanted it to look like it belonged in an older house. Porch paint wears best
I love this quick and easy DIY. I watched this tutorial before doing mine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPHEGlVNkNk
Hi, I have a question for you. Is your floor really linoleum or is it vinyl. They are two totally separate products. If your floor truly is linoleum and if it has any age to it, I am not sure it should be sanded. Some Linoleum from the 1960's was created with asbestos in it. Just saying.
