How to protect underneath island wall?
We have a huge island counter and have bar stools underneath. The problem is the wall underneath is painted sheet rock and gets scuffed easily. Other than paint what is an economical easy fix so I'm not having to constantly clean the wall under the island?

My thought was to put diamond sheet metal there. It has a pattern and is super durable.
You could use a wall panel piece cut to fit or even paint it in a glossier finish which will make cleaning much easier.
