Blonde wood tends to dry out faster than other woods. To refresh wood, I like using Howard Feed and Wax. It will add moisture to the wood. Wipe it on, let it sit for about 15 minutes and then wipe away the excess.
Consider hemp oil if you would be okay with a matte finish. It is food contact safe, hypoallergenic, all natural VOCs and no need to thin. It penetrates porous surfaces and nourishes the oil naturally.
Just warm water and a bit of dish liquid will do the job. Buff with a dry cloth.
