How do I resize a 6" circle template to scale?
How do I resize a 6" circle template to 9" template to scale? The 6" circles has holes strategically placed in the area of the circle. I need to increase the size of the circle to 9" and have the holes proportioned to the 6" circle?

It is fairly easy to do this with a compass made from a pencil and string.
For optimal accuracy, use two pairs of hands.
~ From the centre point of the circle,(½ the diameter) extend the radius out to 9".
~ Draw the complete circle around the whole circumference
~ Using a ruler aligned with the radius, draw straight lines from the holes on the 6" circle, then mark your hole positions on the new 9" circle

Hi,
Place a pin in centre of circle add a piece of string or wool etc. measure out from the circle 3" and make a mark with pencil on the new template material. Tie a pencil to the string so the lead is inline with the pencil mark at 3" and draw a circle using the string and pencil extended. Hope that helps.
