How can I conceal a refrigerator?
I'd like to build a "box" around a refrigerator so it looks more like a piece of furniture, and would like to put a hinged door on it to enable continued access to it.

It needs air flow so it can run well and so you can clean out fan and filter in back
There are ready made refrig. door covers at cabinet manufacturers.
usually custom since it has to cover the door exactly. I had one and it really highends the look of your kitchen.
We live in an old cottage and our fridge was actually concealed in a small closet structure like you're describing when we moved in. You just need to consider the vents, you don't want to have a problem with the unit overheating, so make sure there's proper airflow on top, on bottom and even behind it.
You can glue wood right on the refrigerator if the lines are straight and no curves. I saw this done recently in a decorating book. They changed the handle using something different but it can be done. You can stain the wood what ever color you want. Use liquid nails to glue on frig.
You might be able to buy or build some panels that attach to the doors. You might find it a hassle to keep opening and closing an extra door. Plus yes, it does need airflow around it.
