I have a bland wall in my hallway that I did this to. I basically gathered up all my picture frames and used all the ones with a similar theme then scattered them on wall in a random pattern mixing in small-medium mirrors and other unique pictures from my vintage collection. I am a fan of the boho vibe and scattering them with hints of whimsy and color made it feel festive and chic!
It will depend on your personal preference. Cut out paper in the shapes of your frames and stick them on the wall with poster putty. Then you can move them around until you like the flow.
I would suggest Command picture hangers so you can change them if you change where you want them. I like a mixture of frame color and style, but some people prefer unifying the look with frames painted the same color.
Hi Diane!
Before I start nailing, etc. I always put my pictures, etc. out on the dining rm table or the floor to see how I want to place them, and it goes much faster that way. On my one wall in the living room I have many landscape pictures, on another wall I have old fashioned barns, and on another wall I have a couple of antique small quilts in frames. Here are more ideas for you!

If I inferred correctly from your question, you want to know how to tie the diverse images together... I have seen reccomendations to make all the frames the same color. Now use the prior reccomendations for planning your layout. Good luck!
