Krylon and Rustoleum have some good paints for plastic outdoor furniture. I have never heard of the spray paint you mentioned. I also think it depends on each individual person how they spray. $9 is high for a can of paint and I believe you can purchase a good paint such as the two I mentioned for less. Good luck
1-2 cans for each chair(depeding on brand of paint) here's a couple videos on painting them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuYH-tRg2A0 another https://www.krylon.com/how-to/how-to-videos/how-to-spray-paint-plastic-video/ don't know which country you are in (this is world wide site) so i cannot comment on pricing or which brands you have where you are.it will be so much prettier with all the new color
First things first, scrub down the chairs with a Mr. Clean heavy duty sponge and some type of oxycleaner sprayed on the furniture. I have the Rubbermaid chairs and a love seat that were all speckled with black dots and not really white anymore and that took care of it. They need to be cleaned well before you paint it. There are paints out there for plastic that may not be as expensive, just follow the directions for prep and timing between coats. Welcome to the Hometalk community! It would be hard to determine how many. To get a smooth finish several light coats are recommended. Depends how many coats are needed for good coverage. Best way would be to buy one or two cans and paint one chair. Then you would know approximately how many you would need.
Hi,
Make sure they are clean and dry. Start on the underside . Spray on the Lawn or on newspaper. Spray using sweeping motion about 6" away from item. When you have finished underside and it is dry, you will be good enough to start on the front.
