Hello Bernie! I can take the mats out of my vehicle and wash them at the car wash with the power sprayer. They have spring clamps to hang them for washing. As for the carpet inside the vehicle I just vacuum it well. If it's really bad I use a carpet cleaner with the upholstery attachment.
I would use a vacuum to get salt off the car floor. A whisk broom might help if you do not have a vacuum with an extension hose or a small hand vacuum.

Bucket, water, car wash soap purchased at Walmart or any car parts store. Rinse well.
