How do I repaint Home Depot furniture?
We live near the water and the backs of the chairs rusted. I want to fix it before the summer. Any ideas? I liked on their website and they don't have touch up paint.

Hi Joanie, Wipe over the chairs with WD-40 as it is probably only surface rust. Then buy Rust Oliem Paint or Hammerite Paint for Metal Garden furniture and give them a good coat or two . I have the same problem with salt water spray in the air.......
I would use a rustoleum spray paint!
Purchase a Tremclad or Krylon paint spray depending on what the chairs are made from and lightly spray. You can sand some of the rust off first if you wish and then clean thoroughly before painting.
rustoleum- lovely stuff. I will be playing with it again-,/00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000ll thank freddy for all "o"s
I agree with the Rustoleum, great on metal chairs. sand or use wire brush to get rid of the rust and flaky paint. Do light coats of spray paint, follow the directions for time between coats.
