How to rework a kitchen faucet so it moves again?
The base is stuck---probably from lime buildup, but I'm a little scared to take everything apart.
Thank you, Beverly

if you suspect lime build up, get a bottle of limaway and a roll of paper towels. soak a few of the paper towels in the limaway roll them into a "rope" wrap the "rope" at the bottom of the faucet. cover with plastic wrap over night. next morning remove plastic and the soaked paper towel, rinse. see if faucet will move. repeat if needed.
ps if your faucet head needs cleaning fill a baggie with the lime away and tie it to the faucet head, again, leave over night. rinse in am.
Vinegar will dissolve the lime build up. Soak it well with white vinegar or wrap a rag around where it is stuck that is soaked in white vinegar. Good luck Beverly
