I used to make canisters out of old coffee cans, shortening cans, either painting them or covering them with contact paper. Take a look at some more ideas as well.

I think coffee cans are a great idea for making your own canisters. You can spray paint them also!

The coffee “cans” I like are plastic, and I also use the large coffee creamer containers. I love to peruse the grocery and Dollar Store aisles to see what new containers are out there. I wash even the unused ones to remove any gummy or powdery residue. I’m in heaven since discovering Rustoleum 2X paint for plastic, metal and other materials. So plastic containers (or glass) can be any color you wish. Add labels or decals and you can have a new canister set! Happy Spring!
