Combine a bottle of white vinegar with a box of baking soda. This will create a foamy solution that you can brush onto the moldy areas- use a stiff brush. Let it sit for 10 minutes and then scrub it off.
Peroxide then paint with kilz
White vinegar as Christine stated, but use cleaning version. You may want to put some damp rid in the room to reduce recurring issues. Wet & forget shower will also help to keep issues at bay.
Clean the area with bleach water to lessen any stained areas, then use straight vinegar sprayed on the areas needed and leave it to dry to kill any mold/mildew spores . Make sure you cover anywhere the bleach water ran to kill the spores that ran down, the bleach does not kill the spores.
Hi Peggy - There are several ways to get rid of mold, but most importantly, you need to address the root cause to keep it from returning. This article focuses on the bathroom, but is an overall great article that covers methods of how to remove mold, if bleach is safe to use, and how to prevent it from coming back. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
