Do you have a garbage disposal? If so, grind half a lemon in to freshen the drain.
Add lemon rinds and ice cubes to your disposal. Always run disposal an additional 20-30 seconds, with faucet fully turned on, after food items appear to have been ground up, to avoid smells. Wipe the rubber gasket, regularly. Place 1 cup baking soda and distilled vinegar in drain, monthly. Let set 30 minutes then follow with 2.5 quarts very hot water.
Baking soda down the drains once a month. I take the spent baking soda boxes from the refrigerator and freezers and pour into all the drains and toilets, let sit overnight and rinse in the morning.
Bicarbonate of soda gets rid of odours if you add white vinegar too, they both work together well to also unblock, the pipes ,drains etc.
