You can rub an ice cube over the candle wax until it is brittle and then scrape off the hardened wax with an old credit card or plastic spatula. You can scrub off the remaining haze with a non scratch kitchen sponge and some warm soapy water. You may have repeat both until you get it all off.
Lay an ice pack over it for a while. Then use a plastic scraper to remove the wax.
Hi Julia: Yes, ice is the best thing to use. Lay a plastic bag that has ice in it (you can fill the bag with water and freeze it so it's flat) and let it stay on the wax for about 20 minutes to freeze it and then use a plastic putty knife to scrape the wax off gently. If there is any residue, cover it with a paper towel and use your hair dryer on hot so sop anything that's left. Rub until everything is gone.
