How can I cover plastered holes in ceiling?
two holes in plastered ceiling where existing flush mount lights were removed. The flush mount fixture for the replacement lights are about 2 inches smaller than the existing holes. Is there a decorative fixture we could use over the holes before putting up the new flush mount fixtures.

You might consider a medallion type of decoration around the new lights. Also, you can purchase a "patch" for drywall then mud, smooth, and paint.
I vote for the ceiling medallion, easy and cheap.
Thanks for your help. We found some nice medallions at Lowe's and have decided on one that will work on the plastered ceiling in our 105 year old home.
