Can anyone tell me how to whitewash wood walls My cottage walls consist of vertical Douglas fir boards. I want to retain the wood grain look but need to lighten up the walls. What products and materials should I use. Thanks in advance. Peter

If your Douglas fir was sealed, you'll need to strip it before whitewashing.
Remember to adequately vacuum up all dust, followed with tack clothing, before proceeding.
