How do I paint a laminate dresser?
Ugly brown laminate dresser from the 60's or 70's needs an update. I'm not sure how to get the paint to stick.

Gwen...Sand it, add primer then paint. You can get paint with primer already in it. Good luck
Primer is your friend here. I painted our laminate cabinets here: http://alifeunfolding.com/blog-1/2017/10/12/orc-week-2-updatethe-good-the-bad-and-the-ugly?rq=the%20good%20the%20bad
Lightly sand with 220 grit sand paper to remove any gloss. Wipe down well. Prime with Kilz primer then paint your color. I always seal with three coats of a water based polyurethane to protect the finish.
Or you could cover with contact paper!!!..
Thank you!
