there is water/moisture under the finish. take a thinner kitchen towel and get your clothes iron out, set to medium heat. put the towel over the ring of white and iron away. I have heard of using mayo....my cats thought it most tasty.....

I've successfully used the iron method too. If it's a wood table use some oil on it when you're done to prevent dryness, then polish that oil into the surface and remove any excess. Wishing you the best.

Try a broken walnut meat. It may take a lot of rubbing but it worked for my dining room table
