What's the best way to remove a tinted lipstick that got on clothing?
At a wedding, I wore a 2 piece top which flipped up when I went to fix my hair. The part that flipped up hit my lips which had just had the tinted lipstick applied. It is a 2 parter - tint and then gloss but the gloss had not yet been applied. It is a pink on a black sheer top and although I tried plain water immediately, then soap , alcohol, peroxide, alcohol and water mixed and ultimately shampoo - all to no avail. I've communicated with the mfg. of it, cover girl, but am still waiting for a reply. Any suggestions? TIA

I would use water and soap but I don´t know wheter sisal rugs shrink with water. Some stains are from spilling drinks, some others were produced by pets.
I removed a lip stain product from a blouse by applying Persil and leaving for a few days.
I have a long last lipstick from Cover Girl. It is excellent! But it is very hard to remove. It's an oil, so you need to treat it like you would an oily stain. TY; appreciate it.
Try make up remover on a q tip and remove it that way or use a wipe for makeup remover
Thirty years ago when our toddler used lipstick on a washable bedspread, inexpensive hairspray was recommended by an experienced mom. Spray directly on stain until wet, immediately blot with clean absorbent toweling. Repeat as necessary, then launder. Good luck!
I’d try Dawn dish soap, the original blue. It gets washed and dried in the dryer grease stains out of pants. I use it for every stain and it really works like a charm.
