If you want your bathtub to be in a grotto, I would buy CDX plywood, 3/8”, and cut my arch so that it can be supported by 4x4 cedar or treated lumber pillars (screwed in) and a ledger type nailer across the back of the top.
Then I’d paint it with exterior Grade paints to look like stone work, add silk flower ivy on the front of the pillars.
