Leach, followed by vinegar. Have you considered that there may be a leak behind the walls?
If you're drying the shower walls and ceiling after showering, running the bath exhaust fan during and for 20-30 min. after shower, wiping surfaces dry with cloths that are never laundered with fabric softener, replacing towels regularly (no fabric softener here, either...it reduces absorbency), then you may have a hidden leak.
It can take months for a leak to become evident.
If the plumbing fixtures are older, they may have reached their life expectancy.
Older homes with cast iron piping negatively interact with copper plumbing, leading to cracks and leaks. You may never find the leak until more significant damage occurs, requiring a total gut.
Get a bleach-based cleaner to clean up the mold with. To avoid getting more mold, try to let your shower air out after each use. You might want to install a fan, open a window, or get a dehumidifier to help avoid new mold growth.
My vote is for vinegar.

Vinegar soaked paper towels to kill mold spores.
Wet & forget shower to clean & keep clean for preventing in the future. Also, try to air out as much as possible.
Hi Marcia - There are several ways to get rid of mold, but most importantly, you need to address the root cause to keep it from returning. This article focuses on the bathroom, but is an overall great article that covers methods of how to remove mold, if bleach is safe to use, and how to prevent it from coming back. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
