Partly depends on where you live. I live in rural northern midwest area so lots of critters. I use mostly perennial plants and they don't bother my salvia, yarrow, chives, allium, catmint, ferns, daffodils. lily of the valley. If you check online for deer resistant plants, there will be lots of them - but, as the pros warn, deer will eat just about anything if they are hungry enough. Some of our prettiest flowers are toxic or just unpleasant for eating, also. And you can check what other gardeners are having good luck with. Hope you have a beautiful summer.
