I use Tilex, let it sit awhile, keep it wet. Then use a scrub brush and soft scrub. Once cleaned be sure to seal with tile/grout sealer so you don't have to work so hard next time
Lysol Toilet bowl cleaner in the black squirt bottle is very good for getting out stains. If you have a stain, that means the tile isn't sealed and once it is clean you will need to seal it as Kelli explained. You can test the sealant by dropping water and on it and if it seeps in, it isn't sealed.
For day to day maintenance, mop with this:
1 cup baking soda
1 cup white cleaning vinegar
1 Tbsp blue Dawn
2 gallons hot water (I boil about 1/3 of mine)
