How to keep squirrels from destroying my vegetable garden?

Does anyone have any clues as to how to keep squirrels from destroying my vegetable garden? I just planted more seeds last night, and this morning when I went out to start the water I saw a squirrel sitting right in the middle of my planter box. Is there anything I can do to keep them out until the seeds are up? Thanks!

Spray with Critter Ridder or Fox Urine around the garden

COVER THEM WITH NETTING OR AN OLD SHEERS & I PUT NAILS IN EACH CORNER, I USED THIS TO COVER HERBS IN POTS & WORKS WELL. NOTHING GOT IN. WE ALSO MADE FRAMES WITH CHICKEN WIRE WHICH WE USED FOR SOME OF OUR LARGE BOXES.

Try putting moth balls spread around the garden. They don't like the smell of the mothballs.

I bought a plastic owl; mounted up high where squirrels can see it. Squirrels are scared of it!!!!
