Will stainless steel paint last on an electric range?
I'm having a hard time finding an electric range with bread proofing so I'm considering using stainless steel paint on the black one that we have now but wasn't sure if the paint would last on a range so i am hoping for first hand knowledge.Otherwise has anyone purchased an electric range with bread proofing recently? One that might still be on the market?I have only found one and the reviews are horrible.

Use appliance paint on the one you have. Or bite the bullet and get a car restoration or body shop to paint for you. Unless you have thousands to spend on a specialty stove/oven, they are hard to find. Not a feature many request. Does it have to be electric?

1. Adjust an oven rack to the middle position and place a loaf pan or cake pan in the bottom of the oven. 2. Place the container of dough on the middle rack and pour 3 cups of boiling water into the pan. 3. Close the oven door and allow the dough to rise as instructed. If you limit the time that the oven door is open, the proof box can be used for both the first and second rise without the need to refresh the water.
Turning your oven into a proof box creates ideal conditions for yeast activity.
When I used to design franchised bakeries for a living, they had specific proofing ovens, that included a water line to add controlled humidity.
i would look at used commercial kitchen equipment stores and see what you can find.
No, that stainless steel paint won’t last. It might off-gas and effect the taste of the bread. Yuck.
