You probably have spider mites in the plant which are responsible for the webs. The plant needs a bath. Turn on your shower, make the water tepid and put the plant in the shower stream for 5 minutes. Turn off the water and let the plant stay there for an hour to dry off. When you lift it out of the shower be aware that it may drip from the bottom where some water might have been trapped. Your plant is now clean and happy. As for the spider mites, that is a whole other issue. They are difficult to get rid of unless you are very diligent, as they lay their eggs in places that sprays got get to, so you kill the adults and two weeks later you find the webs again. the eggs hatched and the cycle has started over, new webs, new eggs, etc. But you can clear them out if you first kill all the existing adults, then twice a day inspect the plant for the next generation of new adults, killing them immediately before they have a chance to breed. Spider mite adults are tiny, just above microscopic in size, and red. The red may range from dull to flaming, but its definitely red against the green of the plant. There are several recipes for non-toxic (to humans and pets) plant sprays to help you with controlling the mites. Google it.
Going back to my opening sentence, I said "probably have". There is the possibility its not mites, but a species of spider that has taken up residence in your plant. If thats the case, its there because it found food. Spiders are carnivorous predators, it found a food source and built a nest. However, if it was a one time event, the spider will move on, driven by the need to eat. You may want to watch and see if a spider climbs out of the pot after you turn on the shower. If so, decide what you are going to do about it. You can let it succumb to the water and the drain, or you can let it survive and go on killing insects it will find in your house.
You have spider mites and if you do not get rid of them they will eventually kill the plant and spread to other plants.
The best solution for that is a continual rinsing of the plant every ten days or so until you get rid of the spiders and the eggs. Solution to use: one part dish liquid to 40 parts water. Place your plant in the shower or tub and spray liberally all over the plant and let sit for 30 minutes. Then spray off with tepid water. You may have to repeat until the eggs are gone. Generally one spray job will not do the job so you have to repeat the process.
You can also use, Garden Safe Insecticidal soap. This can be used in both, your vegetable garden & houseplants. WILL NOT harm houseplants.

They may not be spider webs, you may have damaging mites, they make webs too. My gardenia plant had webs from mites. Florist told me to make a mixture of water and dish soap and spray daily. Worked great.
