You choose colors from.patterns and existing decor in the room.
Hi Tina. I like light gray with white trim. It's a neutral color and will go with many colors. Using a timeless pallet like this will allow you to change your decor without having to repaint. Wishing you all the best.
I think it all depends on your style of what colors your living room has now. White is a very popular color but like with all colors they will change during the day as the light moves through the room. Here is a post I wrote on popular Sherwin Williams paint colors. I also have a whole category on paint you can check out in the menu. https://lifeonsummerhill.com/popular-sherwin-williams-paint-colors/
Pull a color from your existing furnishings or artwork. Or are you looking for a fresh new look? Grays are extremely popular these days. I am not a fan, too depressing and industrial for my taste, and that is my opinion only. Pop into a paint store and pick up the color swatches and bring them home. Tape to your wall and live with them for a bit. When you narrow it down to 3 or , purchase sample sizes and paint the wall with all the colors. When you find the one you like, purchase enough to paint the room with a tad bit extra for touch up later down the road.
Whatever color makes you happy!
