An old wardrobe putting shelve's in
at least you can use the whole wardrobe as the entertainment unit, ensure you use light material for example ply wood is still sturdy and light. Paint a color you like this is very handy and can be shut when not in use. In fact you could paint it with chalkboard paint and then can also use it as reminders.
Use strong wire brush to remove any peeling old paint. I'm not sure what to use if there's spots rusted that have dug out pieces of fence. I'm sure there's some kind of commercial product to fill in where you need. Clean fence well and let it dry completely. Try and pick a day that doesn't have too high humidity. The drier the better. I'm sure you need Armour All or something along those lines. I would go with black.
