For tough stains, try cutting a lemon in half and rubbing it over the area. Rinse with water, and then wipe the area dry with a microfiber cloth.
Try bar keepers friend!
Try the Bar Keepers friend cleanser it can be great on surfaces like boats, stainless steel sinks and so on but careful with delicate surfaces it removes mineral deposits like soap scum, and rust stains on tubs in bathroom it has worked good for me on my kitchen stainless steel sink.
Juli, I clean professionally and I don't mess around with homemade cleaners for bathtubs. I use them for nearly everything else, but the soap scum in a tub is very hard. Additionally, acrylic doesn't like abrasives. It puts micro scratches in the surface that then will catch even MORE dirt, and the cycle continues.
I use a soap scum remover such as scrubbing bubbles or lysol power bath. Zep also makes a decent soap scum remover. Spray it on and let it sit for several minutes. Then gently scrub with a nylon scrubby to remove the scum. If the first time doesn't do it, repeat this treatment immediately while still softened. Then rinse.
Once you complete this deep cleaning, you can prevent further build up by spraying, let sit, wipe with damp cloth and rinse on a weekly basis. You should not need to scrub it.
