Could you post a photo so those of us who've never seen chip wallpaper.
HI Aran. I have heard that it can be quite the bear to remove. Have you thought about painting it to a better colour or painting some sort of pattern on it to disguise the wood chip look? You could also add shiplap, bead board or a chair rail to disguise it if you want a more involved project. Good luck!

I would use a steam wallpaper striper - our children love scraping wallpaper off walls (if you can find any willing volunteers, put some fun music on etc)
