What is the measurements for killer
I have seen formula for adding the salt and detergent to the white vinegar. However, we decided it was too much work. We just do white vinegar straight. Dawn dishwashing (a few drops per gallon) detergent will probably make your solution grab onto the weed leaves better, but try vinegar straight first.
Hi Jennifer,
This is the information that I have. There are two easy ways to make a homemade weed killer. One is to use plain white vinegar with a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Put them in a spray bottle and spray the weeds. It takes a while to work so don't expect immediate results. The other way is to pour boiling water on the weeds. That will kill them instantly. If the weeds are between cracks on a driveway or sidewalk, you can add about 1/4 cup of salt to the vinegar mixture, but don't use it in a garden because it kills the soil too and nothing will grow there for quite a while. I hope that helps you. Wishing you the best.
Epsom salt does not kill weeds. It is the regular table salt that you use to mix with the vinegar. Epsom salt can be used when planting tomatoes and does not kill them, only keeps the fungus at bay and encourages healthy growth. .
Hi Jennifer - The struggle is real, isn't it?!? This is the most effective all-natural weed killer DIY that we use. It's even been featured on Hometalk! Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
