What would you do with this?

First does anyone know what it was used for? It's very thin so nothing heavy can go in it, so any ideas what to do with it..if anyone hve pics that would be great

I can't see it well enough to see how large or long it is but could you put a plant in it either live and fake. Also you could use it for storage

Might be a good place to throw your keys when you come in the door!

How big is it? What are the dimensions?

Where is it, or where did you find it? Is it attached to an outside wall?

It appears that the underside of the lid and the backing is stained, maybe from having gotten wet.....

It's about 8" wide 9" long and little bucket is about 3" deep.. my Mom pickup at yard sale, there isn't a lid, when I google it, anything that looks close, is a Salt/sugar keeper, the wood is super thin.. I want to paint or some color just can't think of what to do with it

Maybe hang near your makeup for brushes, cotton balls, etc.

It could have originally have been used as a container salt that is sprinkled on walkways to melt the ice.
