You could buy bronze or silver cleaner and polish every month or so. Or in my absolutely non-professional but experienced opinion, you can clean into all the grooves and curves. Then spray the plaque with outdoor (water resistant) polyurethane. The plaque will shine, possibly for months. I live five states away from my family’s cemeteries. We have learned a few things that help us feel better. One is not to even think about what others think about what we are not in control of anyway, like weathering and time passing.
