How can I save a red outdoor rug that is pretty moldy?

    Mary I would suggest washing it with soap and water and vinegar. And laid out to dry to see if that helps with the natural sun as a bleach

    I would try scrubbing it with vinegar and baking soda. Sprinkle a decent amount of baking soda all over the rug, use a little more on heavily mouldy areas then use vinegar on a scrub brush and a bit of elbow grease

    Where mold is concerned, personally, I’d get rid of it, it's toxic to your health and the longer you have it around without remediation, the more danger you put yourself in. Pores can remain in the right fibers no matter how hard you try to clean it. Not like you can use bleach either. So, if it means that much to you, get it done professionally. Good luck...
