Can I renovate an old pitted mirror?
I have an old dressing table that I am painting but the mirror which is attached is old and pitted. Is there any thing I can do to restore it?

If the mirror is an odd shape and hand beveled it would be worth it to have it resilvered by a mirror co. If plain, just get a new mirror.
There is a way to hide some of the damage but not restore it. I have looked into many options, and I don't believe there is a way to get them back to perfect condition. At the bottom of this post is how I disguise the damage on one of mine.
