Hi Phyllis! You can also try tung oil. Tung oil is great for wood and helps make those white spots go away. https://www.amazon.com/Formbys-30064-Gloss-Finish-16-Ounce/dp/B000BZZ4ZU/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=tung+oil&qid=1561254493&s=gateway&sr=8-7
Hello Phyllis. I'm Cindy. Begin by making a paste with olive oil and salt. Apply it on the white spots and let it set for AT LEAST one hour. Then wipe it all up. The salt will pull out any moisture and the olive oil will replenish the wood. You can repeat if necessary. Good luck Phyllis.

How to Remove Spots on Wood
Hi Phyllis, pour a small amount of olive oil in a bowl, and add about 2 tablespoons of table salt Wrap a small clean cloth around your finger and dip it in in the oil/salt solution and very lightly rub it in a circular motion over the white spots. Let it sit for a few minutes and then take a clean cloth and gently wipe it off. The white spots should disappear.
