How can I seam tarps for swimming pond?
We have a large hole where an above ground pool was partially inground but pool is very old and took it out. We expanded the hole, made it wider and deeper. Pond liners are expensive so we are doing floor underlayment first and then using a few of the very large blue tarps. Any ideas on seaming tarps or helpful ideas if you have done this. Will be using a salt water system to clean and filter Also considering the floating solar cleaners

I haven't remotely tried anything as ambitious as your project, but flexseal (in various forms) is sold as a permanent 'glue' which can be used under water (we got some of the caulk-style to use around the light in our inground pool). It might be good to seal the underside of the tarps where they connect with each other - or drop the company a note asking IF this would work? Am unsure if it's safe for koi (if that's your plan) so would be another question I'd ask. It also comes in a duct-tape-like application in 2-3 different colours so that might also be something to consider, if not too costly?
No Koi. Will be for swimming only wih a waterfall and look like a pond more than a pool. Will check out the flex seal.
Go to a roofing place. They often have large remnants of roofing rubber liners that, if not big enough, can easily be pieced together with roofing glue- have used this on two PONDS.
