I'd create a gallery wall with artwork that would fit around it.
Could nail a board above for curtain brackets and rod. Add curtains.
IMO that is enough decoration for over the bed. I would lower it a little so there is more wall space above the element than under it. If you want to emphasize this wall more, add again in metal, other either framed art or other decorative pieces but one only over each lamp.
Paint 4-5” subtle stripes on the wall except for behind the metal.
Get two framed pictures in matching frames that are offwhite washed that blend with furniture so as not to be too stark on wall. Or find mirrors in frames that go with the colors and hang one above each night stand. The size of the pictures or mirrors need to be large enough in scale to balance the bed/wall (not quite as large as the picture below though since your night stands are smaller) Good luck!
Your room is very pretty just needs a pop of color. Either dry brush you decoration with a brown wax and then maybe hang a long window scarf ( in a pop color) to make a canopy above your decor. This way it frames your decoration. Good luck
Hi Isabel. How about painting the entire wall behind the bed the same grey as the bench top? Your wall hanging will add some texture and won't look so lonely. Or you could mount it into a stained board that stops just short of the headboard length, letting the top and bottom of your art piece pass above and below the board.😊
This room is lovely as it is. I'm thinking you want a bit of 'life'. So, for that think some kind of greenery. You could go with a pair of swags with silk leaves and flowers, hanging baskets or even sconces with some lovely stems in them. If you don't want dimension... I really like the idea of the stripes mentioned above, but I would also consider making them stenciled vines. That might do the trick!
I would either hang fabric on the wall behind it, or paint the wall to match the bedspread. You need color!
If you can paint or let someone else do it for you, use nature background on the canvass the metal decorating craft on your headboard as youre foreground and framed it.
