What painter's tape can I use to make geometric shapes on a wall?
I tried to do a wall with taped geometric shapes but everytime I pulled the tape off I found that the paint had bleed through the edges. I tried several different types of painters tape and nothing worked. What can I use to make sure my lines are straight and clean?

Hi Bonnie. I've found you will always have bleed through unless after applying the tape, you paint over it with your base color, then your preferred color over top of that.
I found frog tape to be best. Press, down tape edges with a putty knife to. Seal. Nothing really works perfectly all the time. I just always plan to touch up with a 1/4" artist brush. And of course the surface has to be perfectly smooth, no texture at all.
Use the green frog tape roll on the paint thinly. Do not put much on the roller. That was one of our winter projects and the stripes came out beautiful.
Part is the tape and part is paint technique. I know how I do it, but hard for me to put into words that most will understand. Might be time to do a video. See if these help you.
