How can I get cat urine out of the fabric of a recliner?

My wonderful sister gave me an almost-new, very expensive recliner. She has a 16 year-old cat who doesn't always make it to the litter box in time. In spite of her best efforts, sometimes the chair was christened. The smell is not overwhelming at all but when the chair warms up, I can smell it. The chair has a grey-brown microfiber finish. I was going to Febreez it like mad with an unscented spray. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions for a permanent solution? Thank you!!

mist it with water then pour baking soda on and rub it in, let baking soda dry, vacuum and voila. I had a brand new couch, it was in the house about 15 minutes when my territorial cat sprayed it. It was still warm when I poured baking soda on, rubbed it in, then vacuumed. You could not tell anything had taken place. If you are still uncomfortable, sprinkle on some scented carpet fresh. It is baking soda based but is also scented.
A mixture of 2 parts white vinegar to 1 part water may help. Saturate the area with the urine to neutralize. If at all possible soak the entire cushion in a tub of this mixture. You might add a few drops of tea tree oil which is a disinfectant.
Be sure and let the baking soda totally dry, maybe overnight, then vacuum Spray or wet heavily the affected area so that the baking soda can sink in and do its thing. Also spritzing on vinegar will help with the smell but the baking soda works best.
