How do I fix a hole in my kitchen ceiling?
I have a 14 x 14" hole in my ceiling that was left by a plumber after he fixed a leak. What is the best way to go about fixing the drywall? It is located over my kitchen cabinets and there is only about a 6" space between the ceiling and cabinet.

I would call the plumber back and make him fix the hole. He should make the repair "whole" before leaving.
“The Plumber Giveith and The Plumber Takeith Away.” This damage should be repaired by the plumber TO YOUR SATISFACTION. If an independent contractor, hopefully, he was bonded/insured, it should be covered. If a company employee sent by his employer, the company should pay for repairs. This is not a repair you should have to undertake or pay for out of pocket. Best of luck. Stand for what is right.
