Does anyone have advice for fixing a maple tree with curling leaves?
My red maple tree lost a third of its leaves. Shows no sign of disease but leaves are slightly curled. Is there a home remedy to fix this rather than call an arborist?

Take pictures and leaves to your local nursary for more information about your issues first.
try (old) aspirin at the root. they like acid soil.
Try coffee grinds about 3 cups all around and miracle grow once a week
I would suggest bringing a maple tree specimen to your local corporative extension MG help desk. The master gardeners could have a look. They would be able to diagnose that for you or if unable to determine the problem a specimen could be sent to the local university for examination and diagnosis.
Our local rural cooperative extension has office hours one day a week —if you’re in a more urban setting hours could be more substantial.
For the best local professional advice on any plant or disease or weed or insect problem-I would highly suggest contacting your cooperative extension. These offices are manned by volunteer master gardeners on site there waiting to answer the communities questions that know your local situation quite well.
Master gardeners are required to volunteer back designated hours
( plus continuing education) each year to maintain MG certification -this community outreach and education is their goal. They are advice would be very valuable — they know your local situation well.
